Georgia Regional Football

October 14, 2015  Missy Koslowski

This is a big week in Georgia High School Football!

Many teams find themselves firmly in the lead or in the "Top Ten" in their respective regions, but many find themselves fighting to put together a winning season.

As the great Vince Lombardi said in the quote above, true character is determined by those who can find the WILL to get up when knocked down, to push past the pain, to give just a little bit extra when things look or feel desperate.

Coaches are looking for that player that will "define" their team, a player that will "Rise Up" and show true leadership abilities.  Regional play is in full force and many teams need to win most of their last schedule games to make the playoffs.

Here’s a look at Georgia’s teams ranked on a consensus of six polls (AJC – Atlanta Journal-Constitution/GHSF Daily; GS – Georgia Sports Writers Association; GPB – Georgia Public Broadcasting; SA – Score Atlanta; MP – MaxPreps; and Max – Maxwell Ratings):
